:

SUMMARY: Maintain a clean and organized sales floor. Maintain register operations and provide friendly and helpful customer service. Assist as needed for all other duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

• Maintain good relations with customers, staff and faculty
• Provide quality customer service
• Greet and be aware of all customers entering the store
• Perform all register operations
• Keep store clean and presentable at all times
• Assist with checking in, pricing, and stocking of all merchandise
• Answer telephones as needed
• Assist with daily bookstore operations
• Must be flexible in working additional hours as needed
• Subject to satisfactory Fair Credit Reporting Act Disclosure which includes a criminal background check.
• All other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Good communication skills and a working knowledge of computers are required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A minimum educational level of an associate degree; or one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, push, lift, dig, haul, pull, reach, carry, lift, grasp, squat or stoop, bend and twist the body, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk or hear while performing essential duties.
