Job Title: Chief Medical Officer (CMO) / Chief Medical Director

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

We are seeking a visionary and clinically experienced Chief Medical Officer (CMO) / Chief Medical Director to lead our organization's medical operations and clinical strategy. This key executive will serve as the liaison between medical staff and administration, champion quality of care, and oversee clinical governance. The CMO plays a pivotal role in aligning medical practices with operational objectives to ensure exceptional patient outcomes, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for all medical departments and practitioners.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based care models, clinical policies, and performance standards.
  • Foster collaboration among physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure integrated care delivery.
  • Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical excellence initiatives across the organization.
  • Serve as the primary advisor to the executive team on medical and ethical matters.
  • Oversee credentialing, peer review, physician performance, and continuing medical education programs.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance with healthcare laws, accreditation, and medical standards of care.
  • Represent the voice of the medical staff in organizational planning and decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree; board certification required.
  • Active medical license or eligibility to obtain.
  • Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience, with at least 5 years in a healthcare leadership role.
  • Proven track record in medical leadership, clinical quality improvement, and healthcare operations.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient safety standards, and data-driven care models.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, public health, or business (preferred).
