Job Summary

We are seeking IT Technicians for a contract opportunity supporting technology operations in a government and public sector environment in West Palm Beach, FL. This role is ideal for a hands-on desktop support or help desk professional who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, assisting end users, and providing reliable onsite support across multiple locations.

This opportunity offers valuable field support experience in a stable, service-focused environment with supportive leadership, collaborative teams, and exposure to a variety of desktop, hardware, software, and user support needs. The role is a strong fit for someone who is dependable, customer-focused, flexible with scheduling, and comfortable working in both office and field settings throughout Palm Beach County.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide onsite desktop support, help desk support, and field technical assistance to internal end users.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, printer, and peripheral issues.
- Travel to various locations throughout Palm Beach County to resolve technical support requests.
- Install, configure, maintain, and support computers, laptops, and related IT equipment.
- Document support activities, issue resolutions, equipment updates, and service details as needed.
- Deliver professional, timely, and customer-focused technical service in an office and field environment.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $20.00 per hour PLUS overtime PLUS mileage 
- Job type: Contract/Temporary until the end of November.
- Location: West Palm Beach, FL, with travel to other sites throughout Palm Beach County as needed.
- Schedule: Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Provide desktop support, help desk support, and onsite technical assistance for end users.
- Troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, peripherals, software, and basic connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and support IT equipment across office and field locations.
- Document technical support activities and issue resolutions accurately.

-  2 years of IT support, desktop support, help desk, or field technician experience.
- Working knowledge of computer hardware, Windows desktop environments, peripherals, and common business applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate solutions clearly to non-technical users.
- Comfortable traveling to multiple locations throughout Palm Beach County as needed.
- Strong customer service skills, professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours and weekends when required.
- Must be dependable, adaptable, and able to work effectively in both office and field settings.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience supporting users in a government, public sector, education, or similarly structured environment.
- Experience using ticketing systems or documenting support requests in an IT service management platform.
- Familiarity with basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar entry-level IT certification.
