Job Description

Responsibilities

• Own the iOS application architecture, performance, memory management, and production releases.
• Integrate Core ML, ONNX Runtime, and WhisperKit for on-device ML inference, including model loading, lifecycle management, and error recovery.
• Build a real-time audio pipeline using AVAudioEngine, voice activity detection, and hardware-priority buffer management.
• Implement resumable multi-file background model downloads using URLSession, including state persistence and network transition handling.
• Build peer-to-peer transcript sharing between devices using MultipeerConnectivity.
• Apply Swift concurrency across the application while preventing data races, deadlocks, and memory-related termination on 6GB devices.
• Ship the application through a federal accreditation pipeline.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience shipping production iOS applications in Swift.
• Direct experience with AVAudioEngine or AudioUnit at the hardware callback level.
• Experience integrating ML or signal-processing frameworks into iOS applications, such as Core ML, ONNX, or TensorFlow Lite.
• Proficiency managing memory and performance on constrained devices using Instruments.
• Experience building resilient background URLSession download or upload systems.
• Experience with protocol-oriented architecture, multi-module Swift packages, and testable service layers.
• Ability to hold a security clearance and work in a federal compliance environment.
• FISMA experience is preferred but not required.
