Salary: $102,000 - 142,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in application support.
• At least 1 year in an informal leadership capacity working with IT or operational teams.
• A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Social Science, Education, Business, Health Care, or a related field, plus at least 6 years working in IT or operations; equivalent work experience may be accepted in place of the degree.

• We lead incident and problem management by resolving complex issues, performing root cause analysis, coordinating prevention actions, and handling escalations as needed.
• We complete assigned work and support business projects by applying subject-matter expertise, helping build work plans, meeting priorities and deadlines, coordinating resources, and resolving complex problems.

• We escalate unresolved or high-risk issues to system engineers when appropriate.
• We communicate with product users and suppliers to exchange information, resolve issues, prioritize requirements, and support ongoing improvement.
• We plan and perform complex system configuration.
• We participate in installations, upgrades, and decommissioning of designated systems, products, and infrastructure.
• We create and maintain accurate documentation for system configurations and procedures.
• We plan hardware and software changes by assessing impact across environments and production systems.
• We support vendor-related activities as needed.
• We take part in and help shape change management processes.
• We define maintenance, modification, and documentation practices for complex and advanced applications.
• We help develop guidelines to prevent or resolve recurring issues.

We are hiring for a flexible hybrid role based in Greensboro, NC, with the expectation that the selected candidate will report to the assigned office three days per week. This Systems Administrator IV, Laboratory Systems role sits within Care Delivery Applications Services, Laboratory and Integration Services, and focuses on enterprise laboratory applications supporting molecular diagnostics, cytogenetics, biochemistry, and precision medicine. We partner with laboratory leadership, clinicians, vendors, and enterprise IT teams to deliver secure, scalable, highly available solutions that strengthen clinical operations, improve laboratory efficiency, support regulatory compliance, and enhance patient care. The role also supports strategic laboratory initiatives and enterprise growth through standardized, integrated laboratory technology solutions, including SoftGenomics and SCC laboratory systems, Epic Genomics integration, HL7 interface design and validation, application lifecycle management, and enterprise system administration with a focus on cytogenetics and molecular diagnostics, while applying CAP, CLIA, and laboratory regulatory standards.
