Facility:
This inpatient rehabilitation facility is CARF-accredited and provides intensive rehabilitation services for patients of all ages recovering from strokes, spinal cord and brain injuries, amputations, complex trauma, orthopedic conditions, and more. The unit features a strong collaborative team including physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and hospitalists, all working together to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Full-time employed Medical Director opportunity leading a 39-bed CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit
• Conduct daily rounding with therapists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses
• Oversee clinical quality and patient outcomes across the rehabilitation unit
• Work closely with a hospitalist team for medical management support
• MD or DO required, licensed and in good standing to practice medicine in the state of Iowa
• Board Certified and maintaining certification through a nationally recognized board
• Must be eligible for and in good standing with the Hospital Medical Staff, meeting all medical staff bylaws and credentialing requirements
• Demonstrated training and experience in inpatient rehabilitation required, including one of the following: completion of a PM&R residency, completion of at least one year of rehabilitation fellowship training, or completion of a one-year hospital internship plus a minimum of two years of experience as part of a multidisciplinary team managing inpatient rehabilitation patients
• 2-year guaranteed salary structure
• CME allowance provided
• 4 weeks PTO plus 6 holidays and 1 week CME
• PSLF eligible position
